Five days and counting….
Beginning next Monday, my husband and I will take on the 10 Days of Real Food Challenge!
I came across an awesome blog this week — 100 Days of Real Food – which is an account of an every-day family of four, lead by the mom, Lisa, who decided to re-write the rules of food in their home. Learn more about the Leake family here.
Thanks to their inspiration, I immediately signed Trey and I up for a smaller, 10 day experiment. Since we’ve already taken large strides to reconstruct our ideas of food in our personal lives, we thought getting in on a challenge like this could stretch our minds and boost our food creativity!
Taking big steps like cutting out all processed foods can be quite daunting, but Lisa makes it alot easier by offering tips and tricks, such as:
14 Steps to Cut Out Processed Foods
She even offers break-away “mini-pledges” such as:
and one of my favorites, Eat Local Food
So for those who are interested in creating a better food environment, but need a way to “ease” into the process, you can take “mini-pledges” throughout the coming weeks to prepare you for going totally processed-free!
